None of the changes will take place immediately, and some hoped-for changes like recapture of lost EB numbers and counting only principals toward the 140,000 EB cap were not included in the new policy.
Nevertheless, for 4-5 million persons, most of them undocumented, there is considerable good news.
The highlights include Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA), Expansion o the DACA Program, Employment-Based Benefits for H-4 spouses, early filing of I-485 regardless of visa availability, I-601A provisional waiver expansion to children of LPRs and Spouses, Parole-in-Place will be expanded to Entrepreneurs, Advance Parole expansion, and the clarification of terms in the L and PERM categories.
Although these are only some of the areas that needed reform, they are welcome progress for foreign nationals and international business in the U.S.
