
Sheila Starkey Hahn, Of-Counsel
Ms. Starkey Hahn has devoted her entire legal career to the practice of immigration law. She has helped thousands of satisfied individuals and companies achieve their immigration goals by providing trustworthy and effective legal advice. Ms. Starkey Hahn is the current Chair of the National Pro Bono Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has served in numerous other roles with local chapters of AILA, including Treasurer of the DC Chapter Executive Committee, DC Chapter Ambassador to the American Immigration Council (AIC), Advocacy Chair, Pro Bono Liaison and Citizenship Day Chair. Ms. Starkey Hahn also served as a Board Member for the Mid-South Immigration Advocates.
Ms. Starkey Hahn is a frequent lecturer at universities and AILA conferences. She is the author and editor of numerous publications on a variety of immigration topics. Ms. Starkey Hahn has been named a Best Lawyer in America for Immigration Law by Best Lawyers and USA Today and was the 2018 recipient of the Michael Maggio Pro Bono Award for her pro bono contributions, which include extensive representation of Central American asylum seekers who are detained at the southern border. Ms. Starkey Hahn received her Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School, cum laude, and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Buffalo, magna cum laude,
