U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will expand Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals on Feb. 18, 2015. That is the first day that applicants will be able to request DACA under the revised guidelines established as part of President Obama’s recent anouncements on immigration.

The requirements for expanded DACA are as follows:
- Have come to the United States before your sixteenth birthday.
- Have continuously lived in the U.S. since January 1, 2010.
- Have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or “be in school” on the date that you submit your deferred action application. - Have not been convicted of certain criminal offenses.
